When Deutsch invited me to contribute on a 23 and me campaign i new it was going to be something special.
I'm specially grateful for @Andreasenise for giving me the chance to show what I can do and also for all the feedback and to always keep the bar so high.
This was my very first  job under Deutsch`'s banner, and a challenging one at that.
The very first request was to find a way to do a sort of gradient that would follow and animate thought a stroke for the beautiful icons the campaign had. Following the referencing illustrator layout. Well AE doesn't do that natively.
On to coding then, I had some crazy ideas that I wanted to try, ended up adding 2 points that will position themselves on the corners of each illustration dynamically and follow a rotation of a 3rd point that will control the rotation, make the gradients use those as in/out points and voil`a, we got a animated loopable gradient that works as needed with no extra plugins whatsoever.
This solution was used throughout the campaign, since it is a procedural solution it was easy to apply to bgs, logos and supers, I saved the team a lot of time with that.
Moving forward, the job asked us to attach a text box around the talent on various scenes, thankfully they had it already rotoed, (thats not quite my cup of tea) so, just a tad of tracking and add the animated arts.

Having some time to spare I wanted to try and rig the text box, so a went to town on it.
Size, colors, icons and even the texts were rigged by the end of it, witch proved essential because, being the very first campaign of this client, the agency would need to iterate on a lot of information inside these boxes so with my rig completed it was just a matter of recording a quick tutorial for the rest of the team so everyone would be on the same page to edit it quickly.
The end result speaks for itself, I think it looks pretty nice and fluid.
This was the starting of a wonderful partnership with Deutsch LA/Steelhead that last till today, I'm forever thankful for the opportunity and trust.
